Here’s a list of some of the best local restaurants close to our accommodation buildings:
West One – If you’ve never tried Taiwanese food then HANG at West One Plaza is the place to go. Famous across China for their fried chicken, HANG is open from 11am to 10pm daily, offering a 10% discount for students.
If you’re in need of a sweet treat Sundaes Gelato is also nearby, offering ice cream, pancakes, cheesecake and more!
Hutton’s Buildings – Open from 4pm – 4am, FirePit Rocks is the go-to place for American style barbeque. With something for everyone, including vegetarian options, a large cocktail menu and beer towers, FirePit Rocks is the perfect place to meet up with those friends you might not have seen in a while! Based on West Street FirePit Rocks is only a short walk away from Hutton’s Buildings.
Gatecrasher Apartments - Smoke BBQ is another fantastic American inspired diner in the area. The build your own BBQ plates and sharer platter are great for groups of friends to enjoy over drinks. Open until 10pm every day, you can find Smoke just off Arundel Gate.
Speedwell Apartments – Looking for something a bit different? El Paso Mexican and Italian restaurant on Cumberland Street is ready to welcome you back, serving Latin American and Italian inspired dishes and happy hour from 5pm-7pm daily.
Niche Buildings - The Cabin is your cosy, log cabin inspired, pancake, waffle and coffee house. Open from 9am daily, with the option to eat in or take away, The Cabin offers both savoury and sweet options, plus a range of hot drinks, smoothies and milkshakes.
Broomgrove Apartments – Proove is your local pizzeria, offering a wide selection of hand-stretched pizzas between 11.30am and 10pm daily. With a full vegan menu and gluten free options available on the entire menu, there is something for everyone!

Porterbrook Apartments – Colombo Street Food Bar is Sheffield’s first Sri Lankan street food and cocktail bar. Just a 6-minute walk away from Porterbrook, Colombo offers mix and match dishes alongside their mains and deserts, perfect for sharing over cocktails with friends.
