Welcome back guide
You’re back in the Steel City for another fantastic year of Uni.
We know you will be working hard, but it’s important to know what else is here whilst you aren’t burning the midnight oil in the library. We have put together a little guide of where you need to go to shop and unwind.
City Centre
What can we say about the beating heart of our fantastic city? Filled with bars, restaurants, shops and museums. If you live at one of our properties here (West One, Huttons Buildings, Gatecrasher Apartments, Speedwell Apartments, Niche Buildings and Sellers Wheel) you are never far from something exciting happening.
The Moor is where you can find all your favourite fashion names, chomp on your favourite doughnuts and catch the latest blockbuster. Everything you could need or want can be done on this long stretch right in the heart of the city.
West One Plaza is not only home to our brilliant accommodation, here you can find food from around the world, vegetarian and vegan delights and dance the night away in the fantastic bars.
When the sun is shining you can head to Devonshire Green. Right in the heart of the Devonshire Quarter, this green oasis amongst the urban jungle is perfect for relaxing with your flatmates.
Ecclesall Road
The beautiful Ecclesall Road is a mecca for students as the treelined street is home to Sheffield Hallam’s Collegiate Campus amongst pubs, bars, independent shops and much more. Our Broomgrove Apartments, Porterbrook Apartments and Broomhall Street properties are all situated here and ideal for you to sample it all!
Home to Tesco, Costa, KFC, Dunkin’ Donuts and more, the Berkley Centre sits at the centre of Ecclesall Road and is always buzzing with people grabbing a bite to eat or getting their shopping.
Situated just off the quaint Sharrow Vale Road is hidden square Dyson Place, where you can grab a Vietnamese style coffee, a vegan treat or something stylish for your room.
Endcliffe Park sits just off Hunter’s Bar roundabout and is the go-to place in the city for students to chill on sunny days, kick a ball about or take part in the weekly park run.
London Road
We have a number of individual houses and apartments in the London Road area, a stone’s throw away from the city centre and site of cuisine from all over the world. Keep going up and you are on the hip Abbeydale Road with all the craft beer you could ask for!
Make sure you head to Picture House Social situated under the beautiful 1920’s Abbeydale Picture House where you can find classic cocktails, ping pong and pizza.
London Road is like travelling the world through your tastebuds. Institutions like Wasabisabi and Saigon 68 have been around for years delighting the people of Sheffield with delicious food and good times.
